Dr. Koven completed a Bachelor of Science Degree at the University of Toronto in 1992 and subsequently moved to Boston, Massachusetts where he received his Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree from the distinguished Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. In 1996, Dr. Koven moved to Burlington, Vermont where he elected to expand his education, in a one-year residency at the Fletcher Allen Memorial Hospital, considered to be one of the most prestigious Level 1 trauma centers in the United States. Dr. Koven treated patients on a trauma level as well as on an elective basis. During his dental residency, he was closely affiliated with plastic surgeons, craniofacial surgeons and ear nose and throat surgeons. He is a Fellow of the ICOI (International Congress of Oral Implantology), Diplomate of the ICOI, Fellow of the Misch Institute of Oral Implantology, Member of the AAID (American Academy of Implant Dentistry), Member of the ODSA (Ontario Dental Society of Anaesthesiology) and is licensed to provide IV conscious sedation. Dr. Blumenfeld is an active staff member at William Osler Health Centre (Etobicoke General and Peel Memorial Hospitals.) He is also a member of the IAO (International Association for Orthodontics).
