In 2002 Dr. Bowleg decided to leave her teaching career and emigrated from the Bahamas to pursue her dream of becoming a Dentist. She obtained her Bachelor's of Science from Dalhouse University where she specialized in the field of Biology. Dr. Bowleg remained in Halifax, Nova Scotia where she further pursued her passion for dentistry and was accepted into the Faculty of Dentistry at Dalhousie University, where she would go on to acquire her Doctor of Dental Surgery. Immediately after obtaining her DDS, Dr. Bowleg entered professional practice as a General Dentist in the Greater Toronto Area, quickly becoming the Principle Dentist for two high-volume offices. Dr. Minder Cheema graduated from the University of Toronto in 2013 with his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Mathematics and Chemistry. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2018 from the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry in London, Ontario. He received training for oral and moderate sedation from the University of Toronto in June, 2018. He has taken many continuing education courses to broaden his Dentistry knowledge. He believes in a strong community and he has been involved in experiences such as going on an outreach Mission trip to Guatemala where he gained experience in Oral Surgery. , General Dentistry Dr. Mahima is a licensed member of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO) and holds diplomas in Healthcare Administration and Human Resource Management. She began her dental career in India, where she completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery at Narsinhbhai Patel Dental College and Hospital before gaining clinical experience as a Dental Associate in general dentistry. While preparing for her Canadian licensing exams, Dr. Dudhat worked as a dental assistant and receptionist at various clinics across Brampton and the GTA. This experience allowed her to connect with patients from the very start of their care journey, shaping the warm, patient-centered approach she brings to the chair today. After graduating from dental school in May of 2004, Dr. Anit Sharma quickly became a Royal College member. He continued his education by taking the Maxicourse of Oral Implantology in 2007, and an extensive bone grafting course in Henderson Nevada. He’s an Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology. Always thirsty for knowledge and improving his skills for his patients, Dr. Sharma is trained in L-PRF Therapy and has treated patients with this modality for the last 3 years. L-PRF, or “Leukocyte-Platelet Rich Fibrin” promotes healing and bone growth from within your own body, as it uses your own blood. is the Orthodontist at our kid's practice. He has now implemented a screening program to allow us to identify kids that would benefit from preventative orthodontic services. This is designed to reduce the need for future "more complex" treatment. Again -- an ounce of prevention is usually better than a pound of cure! Dr. Omar is now taking appointments to assess your kids for preventative orthodontic services as well as conventional treatment modalities.
