What is CDCP dental coverage?
CDCP dental coverage helps pay a portion of eligible oral health services, and some services may require preauthorization.
Who is eligible for CDCP in Ontario?
Eligibility is determined by the Government of Canada based on stated requirements, including not having access to private dental coverage.
What CDCP services do you provide?
We provide all CDCP-approved services, including preventive care, dental X-rays, basic restorative care such as fillings, emergency dental care, periodontal or gum treatments, and select major procedures when approved (services depend on CDCP authorization).
Will I have to pay anything with CDCP?
Possibly. CDCP patients may have co-payments and may need to pay for non-covered portions. We review covered vs non-covered services and out-of-pocket costs before treatment.
Do you help with CDCP applications?
No. Patients must apply independently through official government channels. We provide general guidance once you are approved.
How does balance billing work at your clinic for CDCP?
We use a mixed approach: we accept CDCP rates for hygiene/exams, accept up to 85% of the ODA fee guide equivalent for basic services (based on coverage), and balance billing applies for major procedures such as dentures and crowns.
