Dr. Palmer is a native of Alberta who has been practicing dentistry in Calgary for the past 20 years. He received both B.Sc. and D.D.S. degrees from the University of Alberta and also received a degree in medicine from the University of Calgary. While putting himself through school, Dr. Palmer worked as a garbage man and as a ‘jug hound’ for a seismic company that worked in the high arctic. He has a passion for cooking and finding new recipes which he shares with his lovely and devoted wife and the greatest of his accomplishments – his five wonderful children. He also received the typing award in grade 10 and was a founding member of the Losers Club in grade 11, which at one time boasted twelve members. Dr. Galina Bogdanova (or Dr. Galina) holds her DDS and Masters of Dental Medicine from Sofia University in Bulgaria. She also successfully completed the NDEB certificate from the National Dental Examination Board in 1999 as part of settling in Canada. Dr. Galina has decades long experience and is a big advocate of the importance of oral hygiene and working collaboratively with patients to establish the best treatment outcome. Throughout her career, she has extensively worked with children and adolescents, as well as those that experience dental anxiety. Calgary has been a home to Dr. Galina and her family for many years, and she enjoys spending time out in nature for walks in the park or hikes with friends and family in Canada's national parks. Dr. Charles Kim was born in South Korea and immigrated to Vancouver, Canada in 1999. There he attended the University of British Columbia where he studied Pharmacy and Dentistry. He graduated in 2019 and moved to Calgary with his wife where they've built their roots since. ​ Dr. Kim is passionate about identifying and treating the link between oral health and overall health. Disease in the body can oftentimes show signs in the mouth, head, and neck long before more serious symptoms manifest. Furthermore, he finds too frequently that patients are overly self conscious or anxious to see the dentist. Dr. Kim's greatest wish is for these patients to know that he did not choose this profession to judge or condescend others, but to provide an honest and judgement free approach to treatment. Dr. Nancy Bastourous is an experienced dentist with advanced training in endodontics and over fifteen years of clinical and academic experience. She earned her dental degrees from Cairo University, Egypt, and is skilled across a wide range of dental treatments, with a strong focus on pediatric care and endodontics. Her clinical expertise includes root canal therapy, restorative dentistry, and preventive care. Dr. Nancy is known for her patient-centered approach, strong diagnostic skills, and commitment to evidence-based practice. She is NDEB certified and licensed with the College of Dental Surgeons of Alberta. Outside the clinic, Dr. Nancy is a proud mother of two girls and values time with her family. Dr. Sophia Kim grew up in Vancouver, and is a graduate of the University of British Columbia. She brings a warm, compassionate approach to dentistry, especially when it comes to working with children. Dr. Mitchell Tung graduated from The University of Sydney Doctor of Dental Medicine program. Recognizing that seeing the dentist can be associated with past trauma and can be especially anxiety inducing, Dr. Mitchell Tung aims to act as a companion to his patients through the process of dental treatment to ensure a calm and smooth journey towards optimal oral health.
