Lead Dentist Dr. Cheyanne Olsen DDS, BMedSci — University of Alberta Welcome to Crestmont Dental! I was born and raised in Medicine Hat, and after briefly exploring neuroscience, I graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Medical Sciences and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Along the way I had the privilege of participating in mission trips abroad and local community volunteer projects — experiences that deepened my commitment to patient-centred care and community involvement. After graduation, I completed a general practice residency at the Foothills Medical Centre, where I treated patients with complex medical backgrounds, special needs, and diverse circumstances. Family Dentist Dr. Luc Boutin DDS — McGill University | BSc Life Sciences — Queen's University I grew up right nearby, in Calgary, Alberta. As an undergraduate student, I went to the University of Calgary and enjoyed my time there tremendously. I then transferred to Queen's University to finish my undergraduate degree and earned a bachelor's of sciences in LifeSciences. Boy, did I ever miss the Alberta winter sunshine when I lived there! From there, I went on to McGill University in Montreal to study dentistry. During my years at McGill, I learned all the key qualities that make up a caring and compassionate dentist. The most important of all is to listen well and work as a team with our patients. I further honed my skills by practicing in Montreal for one year, before moving to Vancouver Island to continue practice for three more years. Throughout those years, I missed my family…
