Their FAQ
Answers from their website.
What should I do if I knock out a tooth?
If your tooth is knocked out, pick it up by the crown (not the root), gently rinse it with water without scrubbing, and try to place it back in the socket. If that’s not possible, store the tooth in milk or saliva and bring it with you to your emergency appointment. The sooner you act, the better the chances are of saving the tooth.
How do I know if my tooth pain is an emergency?
Tooth pain that is sharp, constant, or worsening could indicate an infection, exposed nerve, or serious decay, all of which require prompt care. If your pain is severe enough to interfere with eating, sleeping, or daily activities, it’s best to seek emergency dental treatment.
Are emergency dental services available on weekends?
McCall Dental understands that dental emergencies don’t follow a 9-to-5 schedule. Efforts are made to accommodate urgent needs as promptly as possible. You’re encouraged to call and discuss your situation.
How can I prevent future dental emergencies?
Preventing dental emergencies starts with routine care. You should keep up with regular cleanings, use a mouthguard if you play contact sports, avoid chewing hard objects like ice, and address dental issues before they become severe. Consistent at-home oral hygiene also plays a key role in prevention.
When should my child have their first dental visit?
It is recommended that children visit the dentist by their first birthday or when their first tooth emerges.
How often should kids and teens go to the dentist?
Routine checkups every six months help maintain oral health and catch potential problems early.
What dental services are offered for children at McCall Dental?
We offer comprehensive dental services, including cleanings, fluoride treatments, sealants, fillings, orthodontic evaluations, and education on oral care.
Is fluoride treatment safe for kids?
Yes. Fluoride is safe and effective when used in age-appropriate amounts to strengthen enamel and prevent decay.
