Their FAQ

Answers from their website.

What types of dentures are available at Stuart Denture Clinic in Calgary?

Stuart Denture Clinic offers several denture options to meet different oral health, lifestyle, and functional needs. These include complete dentures for replacing a full arch of missing teeth, partial dentures for replacing one or more missing teeth, and immediate dentures for patients undergoing dental extractions. We also provide denture repairs, denture relines, implant-supported denture options, and custom mouth guards. Our Calgary denture team can discuss your needs and help you understand which options may be appropriate for you.

How do I know if I need new dentures, a repair, or a reline?

The right treatment depends on the condition, fit, and function of your current dentures. Cracks, chips, or other physical damage may require a denture repair, while dentures that have become loose or uncomfortable as your mouth changes may benefit from a reline. In some cases, older or significantly damaged dentures may need to be replaced. Rather than attempting to adjust or repair dentures at home, schedule an assessment at our Calgary denture clinic so we can examine them and recommend an appropriate solution.

Does Stuart Denture Clinic help patients with dental insurance?

Yes. Dental insurance coverage can vary considerably depending on your individual plan, employer benefits, treatment, deductibles, and annual coverage limits. Our team can help you understand the information needed for your denture treatment and provide appropriate documentation for insurance claims. We recommend reviewing your coverage before beginning treatment whenever possible. Patients remain responsible for understanding their individual insurance benefits and for payment once their procedure is complete, regardless of the amount covered by their insurance provider.

Can Stuart Denture Clinic help with loose or damaged dentures in Calgary?

Yes. Stuart Denture Clinic can assess loose, uncomfortable, cracked, chipped, or otherwise damaged dentures and help determine an appropriate next step. Depending on the condition and fit of your dentures, options may include a repair, adjustment, reline, rebase, or replacement. Our Calgary denture team can examine your dentures and explain which option may be suitable for your needs.

How do I book an appointment with a denturist in Calgary?

You can book an appointment with Stuart Denture Clinic by calling (403) 276-6775 or using the appointment form on our website. Whether you are considering new dentures, experiencing problems with your current dentures, or need a repair or reline, our team can arrange an appointment and help you understand the next steps for your denture care.

How do I know if my dentures need relining?

Dentures may need to be relined when they no longer fit as comfortably or securely as they once did. You may notice your dentures becoming loose, slipping while you eat or speak, creating pressure points, or causing irritation along the gums. Because your gums and supporting tissues naturally change over time, a denturist can assess the fit and determine whether a reline is appropriate.

Why have my dentures become loose over time?

Your mouth does not remain exactly the same after dentures are made. Changes to the gums, jawbone, supporting tissues, weight, health, and other factors can gradually affect how your dentures fit. As these changes occur, a denture that previously felt secure may begin moving or slipping. A denture reline may help adapt the fitting surface to the current shape of your mouth.

What is the difference between a soft and hard denture reline?

Both soft and hard relines are intended to improve how an existing denture fits against the gums, but they use different materials. A soft reline uses a more cushioned material and may be considered for patients with tender or sensitive gums. A hard reline uses firmer acrylic material. Your denturist can assess your mouth and dentures to determine which option is appropriate.
