He joined the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Alberta in 1989. He is a full-time Associate Professor in the Division of Restorative Dentistry in charge of Removable Prosthodontics. In addition to his teaching and research commitments, he has maintained an active part-time prosthodontic practice since 1990.
