Their FAQ

Answers from their website.

What is considered a true dental emergency?

A dental emergency is any situation involving severe pain, uncontrollable bleeding, or saving a knocked-out tooth. Common emergencies include severe toothaches, dental abscesses, cracked teeth exposing the nerve, and lost dental restorations.

Do you offer same-day emergency dental appointments?

Yes, we prioritize dental emergencies and try to accommodate emergency patients as quickly as possible, often on the same day. Please call us directly at our South Edmonton clinic.

What should I do if my tooth gets knocked out?

Time is highly critical. Handle the tooth only by the crown, never the root. Try to place it back in the socket, or keep it moist in a small container of cold milk or your own saliva, and come to our office immediately.

How can I manage a severe toothache at home before seeing the dentist?

Rinse your mouth with warm salt water, gently floss to remove food particles, take over-the-counter pain relievers, and apply a cold compress. Never put aspirin directly on your gums. A severe toothache requires professional treatment to address the root cause.

I chipped or broke my tooth but it doesn't hurt. Is it still an emergency?

If there is no pain or bleeding, it may not be an immediate emergency, but you should still book an appointment within a few days to prevent further breaking or decay.

Is there a Mandarin-speaking dentist available for emergencies?

Yes. Our Mandarin-speaking dentist is available to quickly diagnose your problem and explain your emergency treatment options clearly in Mandarin.

When should I go to the hospital emergency room instead of the dentist?

Go to the nearest hospital ER or call 911 if you have heavy uncontrollable bleeding, suspected jaw fractures, or severe swelling that makes it difficult to breathe or swallow.
