Dr. Chen is a graduate of University of Western Ontario (D.D.S. 2009), Peking University (MSc. 1989, Beijing, China) and Sun Yet-Sen University (B.D.S. 1983, Guangzhou, China). Right after her first dental degree, Dr. Chen received a 3-year residency training at the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yet-Sen University, then entered a Pedodontics specialty program at Peking University. Before coming to North America, she worked as a dentist and associate professor at Guanghua Hospital (School) of Stomatology, Sun Yet-Sen University. Going back to school in Canada enabled Dr. Chen to continue her beloved dental career. She has been practicing dentistry in the London area for years. She is an active member of RCDSO, CDA, ODA, and AGD, and is a peer reviewer for the Journal of General Dentistry.
