What is the first appointment for a new patient?
That depends on if you would like to become a full patient of the practice or you have a specific issue you would like addressed. If you would like to become a full patient of the practice the first appointment will be a Complete Exam with x-rays (60 minutes). A lot of patients like to try to do their first hygiene on the same day if time permits; this would make your first visit two hours. If you have a specific issue that you would like addressed we will book for a 40 minute Specific Exam if booked 3 days in advance or an Emergency Exam if booked within 3 days. The fees for these two exams are the same. At this appointment they will likely take an x-ray, assess and book you back for the correct amount of time to complete the treatment or possibly refer you to a specialist if appropriate to do so.
