Their FAQ

Answers from their website.

Do I need a referral to see an oral surgeon at Daas Dentistry?

While many patients are referred by their general dentist, you can also contact us directly to schedule a consultation.

Is oral surgery painful?

Our priority is your comfort. We offer local anesthesia and sedation options to ensure a pain-free and relaxed experience during surgery. You may experience some discomfort during recovery, which we help manage with post-op care and guidance.

How long is the recovery time after oral surgery?

Recovery varies depending on the procedure. Simple extractions may take a few days, while more complex surgeries like jaw correction or implants can take longer. We’ll provide detailed aftercare instructions to support a smooth recovery.

What’s the difference between a dentist and an oral surgeon?

An oral surgeon is a dentist who has received additional years of specialized surgical training in treating issues related to the mouth, jaw, and face. They handle more complex procedures that go beyond general dentistry.

Does insurance cover oral surgery procedures?

Many oral surgery procedures are partially or fully covered by dental insurance plans. We’re happy to assist you in checking your coverage and handling claims.

How Does Zoom Work?

Zoom is made of a hydrogen peroxide gel that is light-activated. When exposed to the light, the hydrogen peroxide breaks down, allowing oxygen to enter the enamel. Any discoloration is eliminated, yet the structure of the tooth is unchanged. It is a safe process that will not damage the health of the teeth.

How Long Does the Whitening Last?

The results are long-lasting, though they are not permanent – simply because of the foods people eat and drink. Zoom does not prevent future stains. Foods are the most common causes of tooth stains. Therefore, when people drink coffee, tea, wine, or soda, or eat berries and other colourful foods, the pigments can stain the teeth – even after a Zoom treatment. Patients who do their best to limit or avoid staining foods can go up to a year or longer between Zoom treatments.

Does Zoom Whiten Dental Restorations?

Zoom only whitens the natural teeth. Any crowns, bridges, implants, veneers, bonding, or composite fillings will not change the shade if they’re exposed to the Zoom whitening gel.
