Dr. Bob Vavaroutsos (or Dr. Bob as we call him) received his Bachelor of Science at the University of Toronto in 1987. He then successfully graduated as a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1991 at the State University of New York at Buffalo. After graduating from dental school, Dr.Vavaroutsos completed a hospital internship at the Nassau County Medical Center in Long Island, New York. At the internship, he treated many medically compromised patients in need of dental therapy. After completion of this internship, Dr. Vavaroutsos became interested in children’s care, sports dentistry, and orthodontics. He has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education on orthodontics. Currently, Dr. Vavaroutsos spends close to a third of his time treating both children and adult orthodontic patients. Dr. ElMofty is a general dentist with a Master's degree in Dental Public Health. He has successfully passed both the Canadian and American Dental Board Exams. Dr. Karim has also completed advanced training in paediatric dental care. He has been practicing dentistry for over 10 years, however, his greatest passion is the focus on preventive dental care. He is the founder and leader of "KnowDental", an international company that focuses on oral health education and training for children. KnowDental is a system of games and tools designed to empower children with the ability to prevent dental health issues before they begin. Dr. Elmofty loves to work with children and is fluent in French. Dr. Karim lives in Oakville with his wife and 3 year old daughter.
