Dr. Dan Hwang was born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario. He has a B.Sc Biology from the University of Western Ontario and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of Toronto. He had a successful clinic in the Kawarthas but his love for Ottawa made him give up his clinic there and return home. In his spare time, Dr. Hwang combines a love of travelling with volunteer dentistry and has provided dental services throughout Central and South America. In fact, Dr. Hwang met his wife and fellow dentist, Dr. Claudia Courchesne, on a dental humanitarian mission to Peru. They are parents to two children, Sophie and Alex. Both Dr. Hwang and Dr. Courchesne are committed to the practice of quality dentistry, enhanced patient care, and comprehensive treatment planning. Originally from Ottawa, Dr. Emma Wong received her dentistry degree from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. Since graduating in 2012, she has worked in family practice on the Sunshine Coast of BC and in Toronto, and most recently with military members at the Canadian Forces Base dental unit in Kingston. Dr. Wong enjoys working with patients of all ages. Her practice philosophy focuses on providing exceptional dental care in a gentle and caring manner with an emphasis on patient education. She is a member of the Ontario Dental Association, the Canadian Dental Association and is a member in good standing with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario. Following high school, she completed her post secondary education at the University of Ottawa, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences. She then moved on to complete her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Toronto. Afterwards, Dr. Sawaya spent a year in Northern Ontario practicing general dentistry before moving back to Ottawa.
