Dr. Melissa Goodman earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Toronto in 2006. During her training, she participated in an externship in Paris, France, and was the recipient of numerous awards for clinical and academic achievements. Upon graduation, she was selected to participate in a one-year residency at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto where she performed all aspects of dentistry, with an emphasis on patients with complex medical problems. She went on to complete her specialty certificate in Periodontics and Implant Surgery at New York University graduating in 2010. Her high standing there won her the clinical award for excellence in postgraduate Periodontics. She is a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. She also worked as the only dentist on a native reserve servicing a community of 2000 people. After working at three large and busy practices in Scarborough, Whitby and Ajax, she decided to open Centenary Dental with Dr. Stacey Stein to combine the best aspects of both of their past work experiences.
