Endodontist Dr. Ryan Margel, DMD, MS, FRCD(C), is our Endodontist, specializing in Endodontics and root canal treatment. Originally from Toronto, he graduated with distinction from York University with a major in Mathematics. In 2009, Dr. Margel earned his dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He then practiced as a general dentist for two years before completing a two-year specialty residency and Master of Science degree in Endodontics at Marquette University. His master’s research focused on the anatomical complexities of molar root canal systems. Dr. Margel is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. In his spare time, he enjoys sports, travel, and spending time with his wife, two daughters, and son.

Dentist Dr. Anna Urbano completed her undergraduate degree at Queen’s University in life sciences with a minor in French. She graduated from the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, at Western University in London, Ont., in 2016. Dr. Urbano then went to the Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, Ill., for a one-year general residency treating patients who were medically compromised, patients with special needs, as well as a more general population. Before going to dental school, Dr. Urbano earned her yoga teacher training certificate, and still enjoys practising, but with two young kids and a 95-pound dog, the time is harder to come by! Orthodontist Dr. Maryam Fathimani grew up initially in Alberta and subsequently in Ontario, graduating in Waterdown. She received her Bachelor of Medical Sciences degree with honors in Biophysics from the University of Western Ontario in the Department of Medical Biophysics. She obtained a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Toronto in 2008. She moved to the west coast to complete a one-year general practice residency at the University of British Columbia, working as a dentist throughout regions of the province. She was also selected to travel to England for an oral and maxillofacial surgery. Dr. Andrew Plaitis also attended General Practice Residency in-hospital based dentistry in Vermont. Dentist, Founder and Owner Dr. Alexander Lock graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1998. In 1999, Dr. Lock furthered his education by completing a postgraduate General Practice Residency in Hospital Dentistry from the Veterans Administrative Medical Centre in Cleveland, Ohio. Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Lock continued in private practice in the United States before returning to the Toronto area in 2001. Married with two children, Dr. Lock uses what little spare time he has to enjoy sports, literature and playing the bagpipes.

At the University of Connecticut John Dempsey Hospital, Dr. McKerlie completed a residency program with a certificate for Advanced Education in General Dentistry. Her interest in science and patient care began at the University of Western Ontario where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree.
