Their FAQ

Answers from their website.

Do I have a choice of which type of sedation therapy I use?

The patient always has input into whether they want sedation therapy and the type used. Our recommendation for the type of sedation therapy to be used depends on your general health, your preference, and the type of procedure done.

How will sedation make me feel?

The three primary types of sedation therapy, which include nitrous oxide, oral medication, and IV, will put you in a twilight sleep. You will be able to answer the oral surgeon’s or dentist’s questions but may drift into sleep on and off. Drifting into sleep occurs more with the IV therapy than the others. General anesthesia makes you unconscious throughout the procedure.

Am I monitored for reactions to sedation therapy?

Side effects rarely happen with sedation therapy but patients are monitored throughout the procedure. That includes blood pressure, breathing, and oxygen levels. We can bring a patient out of therapy quickly if necessary.

When can I go back to work or school after sedation therapy?

You can go back to work or school the next day. It will leave you feeling sleepy or sluggish so you should take the rest of the day off.

Will I have a hangover from the therapy?

A patient using sedation therapy won’t have a hangover as most people know it but will be sleepy. They are unable to drive so will need a ride home.

What do I need to do at home after sedation therapy?

Sedation will wear off quickly but we recommend drinking water and eating something light. You may need to take a nap.
