Do you see emergency patients on Saturdays?
Yes, one Saturday a month, though our main emergency availability runs on weekdays from roughly 8am to 4 or 5pm. Call ahead to check whether the upcoming Saturday is one of our open days before you plan around it. Outside of these hours, a genuine medical emergency like uncontrolled bleeding or facial swelling affecting your breathing should go to the nearest ER.
What should I do about a knocked-out tooth before I get to the clinic?
Pick the tooth up by the crown, not the root, and try to place it back in its socket if you can do so without forcing it. If that's not possible, keep it moist in a small container of milk or your own saliva, not water, and call us right away. A knocked-out tooth has the best chance of being saved if it's treated within an hour, so don't wait to see if the pain fades.
