Dr. René Chiasson was born and raised in the province of New-Brunswick. Growing up in a family of fisherman, he naturally spent most of his life by the Atlantic Ocean. He subsequently moved to Québec City to study at Université Laval, wherein he received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 2011. After graduation, he made a pivotal decision to move to beautiful British Columbia. Having had visited the west coast several times in his youth, it was an easy decision to move to a place where he remained close to the ocean. Dr. René loves spending his leisure time outdoors around the seawall, hiking around the city and snowboarding. Since his move to Vancouver, Dr. René has been working in different offices that allowed his passion for dentistry to flourish. He worked with the community and also with the UBC students. Dr. Lavinia C. Lin graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine. After graduation, she pursued her practice in Denver where she concurrently volunteered her services to Colorado Mission of Mercy, which provides free dental care to low-income families. She moved to Vancouver and joined our dynamic team at Coast Dental as an associate dentist, and is already someone our patients rely on. Dr. Lin provides an array of dental care and is committed to providing patient-focused care. Dr. Lin is a firm believer in continuing education and continues to expand her knowledge and familiarize herself with advances in the field of dentistry. Invisalign is one of her main dental interests. Besides dentistry, she enjoys spending time with her daughter and traveling in her leisure time.
