Their FAQ
Answers from their website.
Do I need a dental checkup if nothing hurts?
Yes. Many dental problems develop without noticeable symptoms at first. Cavities, gum disease, infections, and other conditions can progress silently until they become more serious. Regular dental checkups allow your dentist to detect issues early, when treatment is often simpler, more comfortable, and less costly.
What causes bad breath and how can it be treated?
Bad breath, also known as halitosis, is often caused by bacteria in the mouth, gum disease, tooth decay, or buildup on the tongue. Mouthwash may temporarily mask the problem, but a dental examination is the best way to identify the cause and recommend appropriate treatment.
Can I have dental problems even if my teeth do not hurt?
Yes. Many oral health problems do not cause pain until they are more advanced. Tooth decay, infections, bite issues, cysts, and gum disease may develop without noticeable symptoms. Routine dental exams and x-rays help identify these concerns early.
Is gum disease possible even if my gums do not bleed?
Yes. Gum disease is often described as a silent condition because symptoms are not always obvious. Some patients may experience gum recession or bone loss without bleeding. Regular dental exams and periodontal evaluations help detect and monitor gum disease.
How often should I have my teeth cleaned?
Many patients benefit from professional dental cleanings every six months. However, the ideal schedule depends on your oral health. Patients with gum disease or other concerns may need more frequent cleanings based on their dentist's recommendations.
