Their FAQ

Answers from their website.

What is Invisalign®?

Invisalign® is a modern orthodontic treatment that straightens teeth without the need for traditional metal braces. Instead of brackets and wires, Invisalign® uses a series of clear, removable aligners that gradually shift your teeth into alignment. You’ll start with the first aligner in your personalized series and progress to the next set every few weeks. These aligners fit comfortably over your teeth and apply gentle, controlled pressure to move them into the correct position.

What Material Are Invisalign® Clear Aligners Made Of?

Invisalign® aligners are crafted from a high-quality, transparent dental-grade plastic. They are made using SmartTrack® thermoplastic material, which is uniquely designed for Invisalign® treatment. This patented material ensures a snug, comfortable fit while providing the precise level of pressure needed to effectively and efficiently shift your teeth into place.

What Are the Primary Benefits of Invisalign®?

Virtually Invisible – The clear aligners blend seamlessly with your teeth, making them barely noticeable. Removable – Unlike traditional braces, you can take Invisalign® aligners out for eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing. No Metal Wires or Brackets – Enjoy a more comfortable experience without irritation from brackets and wires. Convenience & Flexibility – You can continue enjoying your favourite foods and maintain your regular oral hygiene routine.

What is the Invisalign® Treatment Process?

Your Invisalign® journey starts with a consultation with Dr. Nguyen. He will evaluate your smile and create a customized treatment plan designed specifically for your dental needs. Using advanced imaging, you'll even get a preview of what your smile will look like after treatment! Once your custom aligners are ready: - Wear them for 20 to 22 hours per day (removing them only for meals and oral care). - Switch to a new set of aligners approximately every two weeks to keep your treatment on track. - Each set gently shifts your teeth into their ideal position for a healthier, more aligned smile.

How Long Does Invisalign® Treatment Take?

Treatment time varies depending on the complexity of your case. For minor adjustments, results may be seen in as little as six months. However, for most patients, Invisalign® treatment typically takes 12 to 18 months. Dr. Nguyen will provide a personalized estimate during your consultation.

Can I Remove My Aligners Whenever I Want?

Yes, Invisalign® aligners are removable! You can take them out whenever you need to eat, drink (anything other than water), brush, or floss. However, for the best results, you must wear them for at least 20 to 22 hours per day. Not wearing them consistently can slow down your progress and extend your treatment time.

Does Getting a Dental Implant Hurt?

Getting a dental implant is similar to many other dental procedures, like getting a filling. Although it is a surgical procedure, anesthesia ensures you won’t feel any pain during the process. After the procedure, there may be some slight discomfort, but most patients find it manageable with over-the-counter pain medications. You can generally return to work the day after your procedure, so there’s no need to take extended time off.

How Long Should a Dental Implant Last?

Dental implants consist of two main components: the implant post, which is surgically placed into the jawbone, and the prosthetic tooth above the gumline. The implant post can last a lifetime, while the prosthetic typically lasts 15 years or more, depending on how well you care for it. This makes dental implants a long-term solution compared to other options like bridges or dentures, which usually need to be replaced every 10 years.
