Is a CBCT scan safe?
Modern CBCT is designed to capture detailed 3D images while keeping radiation exposure low, and we scan only the area needed. Your dentist will recommend it only when it benefits your care.
Does the scan hurt or feel confined?
Not at all — it is completely non-invasive. You simply stay still for a few moments while the scanner rotates around you in an open setup.
Why do I need a 3D scan instead of a regular X-ray?
A 3D scan shows depth and detail — such as bone volume and nerve location — that a flat X-ray cannot, which is especially valuable for planning implants and complex treatments.
Is this the same as "teeth in a day"?
Some patients may receive a fixed temporary arch soon after surgery, with the permanent bridge placed after healing. Whether this applies to you depends on your individual case.
How is All-on-X different from dentures?
Unlike removable dentures, an All-on-X bridge is anchored to implants and stays fixed in place, so it doesn't slip while eating or speaking.
