Their FAQ
Answers from their website.
Do I have to renew my CDCP coverage every year?
Yes. CDCP eligibility is reassessed annually based on your latest tax return, so file your taxes every year and renew when Service Canada opens renewals for your coverage period.
What does the CDCP co-payment mean?
If your adjusted family net income is under $70,000, the plan pays the full CDCP fee for eligible services. Between $70,000 and $79,999 you pay 40% of the CDCP fee, and between $80,000 and $89,999 you pay 60%. Your dentist can tell you before treatment what your share would be.
Are children covered by the CDCP?
Yes. Children in eligible families are covered, and parents apply on their behalf. Kids' cleanings, exams, and fillings are among the services the plan covers.
Does every dentist accept the CDCP?
No. Dentists choose whether to participate and whether to bill Sun Life directly.
What should I bring to a CDCP appointment?
Bring your Sun Life CDCP member card or welcome letter and a piece of ID. If you have questions about your coverage start date, call us first and we can help you check.
