Dentist I was born and raised on a farm in Saskatchewan, and I graduated from the University of Saskatchewan College of Dentistry as a general dentist in 1998. I was drawn to practice dentistry in Calgary, Alberta because the people of this fantastic city are willing to support anyone with a strong work ethic and enthusiasm for progress. I am passionate about my profession, and I want to make a difference in the lives of the people that I serve. For more than two decades I have worn a few hats as a dentist and co-owner of Downtown Dental: -Sports dentist working with the medical team for the Calgary Flames. -Forensic dentist working with the Chief Medical Office in Calgary. Most recently I have completed a mind-body medicine program through Harvard Medical School and the Benson Henry Institute. Dentist Dentistry is more than just a job for me. The recent pandemic has helped me realize that my purpose in dentistry thrives in positive human connections. I enjoy creating relationships with my patients; I appreciate our conversations and appreciate sharing a laugh more than ever. I want to listen; and people want to be heard. It is rewarding being able to offer value to my patients’ lives by trying to provide clinical excellence in dental care, oral health and wellbeing, while establishing a good relationship. Originally from Ardrossan, AB, I moved to Calgary in 2007 after completing my dental education from the University of Alberta and began practising general dentistry in the practice that I’m in today. Dentist I graduated dental school in 2002 from the University of Alberta and practiced as an owner and a lead dentist in Tuscany for 17 years. I’ve always enjoyed the vibrant downtown culture and I am excited to be part of a downtown practice where I can offer a variety of services to our patients. I perform all components of dentistry, but am particularly interested in surgical procedures such as Wisdom teeth extractions, dental implants, and grafting procedures. Patient education is as important to me as the actual dental procedures; communication is key.
