Their FAQ

Answers from their website.

Why might a dentist recommend veneers instead of orthodontic treatment?

Patients sometimes assume veneers and orthodontic treatment are interchangeable, but they serve different purposes. The most appropriate option depends on whether the primary concern involves tooth position, tooth appearance, or a combination of both. A comprehensive assessment helps determine which approach aligns best with the patient's goals and oral health needs.

Can veneers be used to restore chipped or worn teeth?

Small chips, uneven edges, or localized wear may sometimes be addressed with veneers when sufficient healthy tooth structure remains and the underlying tooth is stable.

Why is enamel an important consideration before veneer treatment?

Enamel quality plays an important role because veneers rely on a strong bonding surface. This is one reason dentists carefully evaluate the condition of the tooth before recommending treatment, particularly when previous restorations or wear are present.

Are veneers appropriate for every cosmetic concern?

No. The suitability of veneers depends on factors such as oral health, tooth position, bite relationships, enamel availability, and the nature of the aesthetic concern. In some situations, alternative treatment options may be more appropriate.

What factors are evaluated before veneer treatment is recommended?

Treatment planning often begins with a discussion of aesthetic goals, followed by an assessment of tooth structure, enamel condition, bite function, gum health, and existing restorations. These factors help determine whether veneers are likely to provide a predictable long-term result.

Can teeth grinding affect veneer treatment planning?

Yes. Excessive grinding or clenching may place additional forces on both natural teeth and restorations. Dentists evaluate bite function and oral habits to determine whether veneers are appropriate and whether protective measures are warranted.

How do dentists determine whether someone is a suitable candidate for veneers?

Candidacy depends on more than appearance alone. Dentists also consider enamel quality, gum health, bite forces, existing dental work, oral hygiene habits, and the long-term predictability of treatment before making recommendations.

Can veneers address more than one cosmetic concern at the same time?

Some patients seek treatment because multiple aesthetic concerns affect the same tooth or group of teeth. In appropriate situations, veneers may be incorporated into a treatment plan designed to address concerns related to shape, color, proportions, or minor irregularities in appearance.
