Dr. Susan is thrilled to meet you at Maya Dental! Dr. Susan grew up in Edmonton and attended the University of Alberta for her undergraduate studies followed by the University of Toronto where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. She began her career working in Toronto before moving back to Alberta where she gained a lot of experience working in a rural setting before moving to Edmonton. Dr. Susan is committed to delivering comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages. Outside of the office you can find her in the mountains, either camping or snowboarding. Day to day, she enjoys watching Netflix and attending to her plants. Dr. Sarah Yang is excited to return home to Edmonton and care for the Maya Dental community after completing her dental training across Canada. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Alberta and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Toronto, followed by a one-year Oral Surgery internship at McGill University. Dr. Sarah is passionate about providing personalized, evidence-based care and believes strong communication is key to a positive patient experience. Fluent in Mandarin, she enjoys connecting with patients from diverse backgrounds and helping them feel comfortable and understood during their visits. Dr. Julie Tran is a compassionate dentist committed to providing exceptional care to patients of all ages. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Alberta. She gained experience working in private practices throughout British Columbia, served as a part-time Clinical Instructor at the University of British Columbia, and regularly volunteered at local non-profit clinics. She has also participated in dental mission trips to support communities internationally. Dr. Julie offers comprehensive dental services with a personalized touch to help patients achieve healthy, beautiful smiles. Dr. Moneza Khandwalla, originally from Kenya, earned her Doctor of Stomatology degree in Moscow and graduated with distinction from the University of Western Ontario, Canada. She believes oral health is key to overall well-being and provides compassionate, personalized care in a welcoming environment. Passionate about staying current with dental advancements, Dr. Moneza is committed to delivering exceptional care for confident, beautiful smiles. Dr. Donna B. Rivera is the proud owner and the head dentist of Maya Dental Clinic. She received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Centro Escolar University in Manila, Philippines. She passed the National Dental Examining Board of Canada in 2016, and practiced Dentistry in Vancouver before moving back to Edmonton to open her first clinic, Maya Dental Clinic-South in 2018. And in 2023, she opened her 2nd clinic, the Maya Dental Clinic- West. With more than 20 years experience in Dentistry, she is able to provide high quality and treatment to her patients. Dr. Donna’s number one priority is to provide her patients an enjoyable and stress-free dental experience.
