Their FAQ
Answers from their website.
What is SureSmile?
SureSmile is a modern clear aligner system that uses advanced technology to create precise and comfortable aligners, enhancing the orthodontic treatment experience.
How long does the treatment with clear aligners take?
Treatment times vary based on your needs, but many patients complete their treatment in 6 to 18 months.
What are the benefits of clear aligners over traditional braces?
Clear aligners are nearly invisible, removable for eating and cleaning, and typically more comfortable than traditional metal braces.
Can clear aligners improve my overall dental health?
Yes! By aligning your teeth, clear aligners help improve bite function and make it easier to maintain good oral hygiene.
Are clear aligners painful?
Clear aligners are designed for comfort, though you might experience slight pressure as your teeth adjust, which is a sign that they are working.
How do I clean my clear aligners?
Rinse your aligners with cool water every time you take them out, and give them a gentle brush with a soft toothbrush and mild soap once a day. Hot water can warp the plastic, and regular toothpaste is abrasive enough to leave scratches that trap bacteria. For a deeper clean, many of our patients use an ultrasonic cleaner such as the Zima Dental Pod.
What is a Zima Dental Pod?
The Zima Dental Pod is a small countertop ultrasonic cleaner made for oral appliances. It uses tap water and high-frequency sound waves (around 42,000 vibrations per second) to create tiny bubbles that lift plaque and bacteria out of every groove of your aligner in about five minutes, without scrubbing or harsh chemicals. Ask our team at your next visit whether it’s a good fit for your treatment.
Do I still need to brush my aligners if I use an ultrasonic cleaner?
A quick daily rinse and brush is still worth doing. An ultrasonic cleaner handles the deep clean your toothbrush can’t reach, but rinsing after meals keeps saliva and food particles from drying onto the plastic between cleaning cycles.
