I began my journey in dentistry in 1977 after graduating from dental school in China, where I went on to practice as a prosthodontist for over 15 years. Prosthodontics is a specialty focused on restoring balance in the mouth—through full-mouth rehabilitation, careful planning, and a deep understanding of how all the forces in the mouth work together. Now in addition to prosthodontics, much my specialty lies in dental surgery such as wisdom teeth extractions, periodontal surgery and dental sedation. Later in life, I made the decision to immigrate to Canada. Starting over wasn’t easy, but I was determined to continue doing what I love. I re-earned my dental degree at Western University’s Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry in London, Ontario. In 2009, I joined Dr. Spencer at Sunny Dental Centre and I’ve been here ever since. My mom is a dentist, so I grew up knowing my way around dentures and floss before most kids learned to ride a bike. From an early age, I knew I wanted to follow in her footsteps and help people smile with confidence. Today, I’m proud to be part of a practice where we treat our patients like family. I believe in creating a relaxed, welcoming environment where you feel heard, cared for, and maybe even leave with a laugh. Outside the office, I love hitting the hiking trails, soaking up fresh air, and helping friends settle debates about whether flossing really matters (it does!).
