Will I be asleep during sedation dentistry?
Not necessarily. With minimal or moderate sedation, you may feel relaxed or drowsy while remaining responsive. General anesthesia is a different level in which you are unconscious. The planned level should be explained before you consent to treatment.
Is dental sedation safe?
Sedation has risks as well as benefits. Safety depends on careful patient assessment, the medication and dose, appropriate authorization, monitoring, and following preparation and recovery instructions. Your dentist should review your individual risks before treatment.
Can I drive after a sedation appointment?
