He then moved to Toronto and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery with Honours from the University of Toronto, where he developed an early passion for prosthodontics. This led him to pursue a three-year Masters specialty program at the University of Manitoba. During that time, he concentrated his studies on fixed, removable, and implant prosthodontics. Endodontist Dr. Manfred Friedman B.D.S (WITS.) B.CH.D HONS (PRET), DDS, MSC, FRCD(C) Endodontist B.D.S (WITS.) B.CH.D HONS (PRET), DDS, MSC, FRCD(C) Dr. Friedman graduated in South Africa in 1971 and emigrated to Canada some 30 years ago. He currently directs the second-year endodontic lab course at Schulich Medicine and Dentistry, as well as supervising Endodontics in the clinic. He is in private practice three days per week and has restricted his practice to Endodontics since 1997. Dr. Friedman recently received the CY Lung award, presented to a part-time instructor at Schulich. Dr. Friedman has lectured on endodontics both internationally and in Canada. He is passionate about endodontics and provides the best care he is capable of to all his patients.
