Dr. Filo is a lifelong Hamiltonian. He is a graduate in Honours Biochemistry from McMaster University and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Toronto in 1984. Dr. Filo became a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry in 1996, and completed a Post Graduate Program in Esthetic Dentistry in 1997 at the State University of New York at Buffalo. In 2003 he received his Diplomate status from the American Board of Hypnosis in Dentistry. In 2008 he was inducted into the Pierre Fauchard Academy as a Fellow — an honour society recognizing leadership in the dental community.
