Their FAQ
Answers from their website.
What types of sedation are available?
Dentists use nitrous oxide (laughing gas), a pill you take before the visit, or IV sedation that works through a small line in your arm.
Who is a candidate for sedation dentistry?
It is helpful for people who feel nervous, have a strong gag reflex, cannot sit still, or need long or multiple treatments.
Is sedation dentistry safe?
Yes, sedation dentistry is safe if it is done by a trained professional after they check your health history.
How do I prepare for sedation dentistry?
Follow the instructions your dentist gives you. You may need to stop eating or drinking for a few hours and have someone drive you home if you are not using laughing gas.
What are the benefits of sedation dentistry?
It helps you stay relaxed, reduces fear, and makes longer treatments easier.
How long does sedation last?
Laughing gas wears off quickly. A pill or IV sedation can last a few hours, and you may feel sleepy afterward.
What counts as a dental emergency?
A dental emergency includes severe tooth pain, a knocked-out or broken tooth, bleeding that won’t stop, or a sudden infection causing swelling.
How quickly should I see an emergency dentist?
See an emergency dentist as soon as possible, ideally within a few hours, especially for knocked-out teeth or severe pain.
Need another dentist?
