Treatment Philosophy Education Dr. Julie Kim’s inspiration to become a dentist was motivated by her own fearful intimidation of dentistry. After conquering many years of dental phobia, her mission as a dentist is to ensure that patients have a comfortable experience with her and to claim a positive outlook on dentistry. In 2003, Dr. Kim graduated from the University of Western Ontario and has since served in Hamilton. She enjoys the wide diversity of dentistry and can take care of your dental concerns in restorative and cosmetic dentistry, conscious sedation dentistry, occlusal therapy and dental trauma therapy.

Treatment Philosophy Education Outside The Office Dr. Monica Ramirez achieved her doctorate in 2002 and started her dental journey in the Dominican Republic, where she was born and raised. She later moved to Toronto and obtained her National Dental Board certification in 2014. She has worked in private practice ever since. Dr. Ramirez is committed to delivering quality care with a smile. Known for her warm and welcoming demeanour, she makes every effort to help her patients feel at ease and enjoy their time at Sagewood Dental Care. She also adds a layer of the unexpected to our practice by occasionally bursting into song during procedures to keep her patients smiling! Treatment Philosophy Education Outside The Office Providing comprehensive dental care for the entire family is at the heart of Dr. Brian Yim’s practice philosophy, with orthodontics, cosmetic dentistry, implant dentistry, and TMJ treatments being his main areas of focus. Using resin to hand-sculpt beautiful smiles is his favourite job component, and he chose to become a dentist because of the profession’s perfect blend of artistry and healthcare. Having earned his DDS degree in 1998 from the University of Toronto, Dr. Brian Yim has been practicing at Sagewood Dental Care for over 20 years where he loves serving and caring for the people of Hamilton. When he’s not at the office, Dr. Brian Yim loves spending time with his wife and their two children. His favourite activities include skiing, spin classes, and Zumba, and he’s a diehard Leafs fan.

She’s committed to providing a high standard of care while getting to know you and your family, and she chose to pursue dentistry because of the positive impact a single visit can have on a patient’s oral health. Dr. Anam Hashmi achieved her DDS degree in 2021 from the University of Toronto and has been caring for smiles at Sagewood Dental Care for almost one year. In her free time, Dr. Anam Hashmi loves spending time with, and cooking for, her husband and two children and she greatly enjoys gardening and cycling.
