Dr. Kearney grew up in West Van attending Westcot and Sentinel before going to UBC for biochemistry. He graduated with a DDS from the University of Toronto in 1979 and came back to Vancouver. Dr. Kearney and Dr. Katrin Turu started the West Van Dental Group together in 1983 . They were joined by Dr. Clive Jones and Dr. Mark Spurr. Dr. Spurr completed a B.Sc. Microbiology and a M.Sc. Molecular Biology from UBC, during the years 1973-1979. He obtained his Dental Degree from the University of Toronto. He has been practicing general dentistry since graduating in 1983, encompassing all aspects of dentistry, including sedation, implants, major restorative, and wisdom teeth extractions. Dr Spurr practiced in Alberta for the first 16 years of his career, before returning to BC to practice with his long time friends, Drs. Peter Kearney (high school friend), Katrin Turu, and Clive Jones. After the change of ownership at West Van Dental Group and the untimely retirement of their partner Dr. Clive Jones, Drs. Dr. Taheri was raised in Vancouver, Richmond, and North Vancouver, and is proud to call the North Shore home. He completed both his undergraduate degree and Doctor of Dental Medicine at the University of British Columbia, graduating in 2011. In 2013, he and his family settled in North Vancouver, where they are now living as a family of five and enjoying the strong sense of community that makes the area so special. Dr. Andrew Gee, born and raised in East Vancouver, discovered his passion for dentistry while volunteering at a local non-profit community dental clinic during his undergraduate studies. After graduating with distinction with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology, Dr. Gee’s commitment to helping others led him to pursue the Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of British Columbia. His journey continued at UBC’s dental school, where he excelled and developed a keen interest in surgical and cosmetic dentistry.
