Calm, unhurried, and honest about what does and does not need doing. She has spent fifteen years refining a conservative, unhurried approach, especially with patients who arrive nervous. Their FAQ

Answers from their website.

Where is Allo Dental Clinic located?

Allo Dental is at 3455 Yonge Street in North York, on the border of Teddington Park and Bedford Park. There is street parking on the nearby residential streets, and the 97 Yonge bus stops outside.

Does Allo Dental Clinic accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)?

Yes. Allo Dental accepts patients covered by the Canadian Dental Care Plan. We also accept OW and ODSP, Healthy Smiles Ontario, IFHP, NIHB, UHIP and Studentcare, along with private and union plans. Coverage varies by treatment and some procedures are not included, so we confirm what your plan covers before treatment begins.

Does the clinic offer direct insurance billing?

Yes. Allo Dental bills most major insurers directly, so you pay only the portion your plan does not cover. We give you a written estimate before treatment and verify your coverage with your provider first.

Is Allo Dental a CDCP dentist in Toronto?

Yes. Allo Dental Clinic at 3455 Yonge St in North York accepts Canadian Dental Care Plan patients and bills Sun Life, the plan administrator, directly. You pay only your co-payment and any amount the plan does not cover, and we put those numbers in writing before treatment begins.

Is the CDCP free?

No, and it helps to know that going in. It costs nothing to apply or renew, but depending on your income tier you may have a co-payment of 0%, 40% or 60% of the CDCP fee. At Allo, our fees for covered services match the CDCP fee grid as of September 3, 2026, so your co-payment is normally the only cost for covered care; contact the clinic for current details.

Can I use the CDCP if I have insurance through work?

No. Anyone with access to private dental insurance, through their own or a family member’s employer, a pension, a student plan or a purchased policy, does not qualify, even if they never enrolled or used it. Coverage through government programs such as Healthy Smiles Ontario or ODSP does not disqualify you.

Does the CDCP cover teeth cleanings, and how often?

Yes. Scaling is covered up to 4 units per 12 months for adults 17 and over, alongside a recall exam every 12 months and limited polishing. If your gums need more than the annual limit, we can request preauthorization from Sun Life for additional units, or give you the cost in writing before doing anything extra.

Does the CDCP cover crowns, root canals and dentures?

Root canal treatment is covered, and re-treating an old root canal needs preauthorization. Crowns are covered with preauthorization, up to 1 per tooth every 8 years. Complete dentures are covered about once per arch every 8 years; partial dentures need preauthorization. We handle the paperwork and wait for approval before starting.
