Dr. Mina Ibrahim
Dentist · DDS
Read bio

As Dr. Mina Ibrahim, General Dentist of Bayview Smile Centre , explains: "The detail I ask patients about first is not how intense the cold pain is, but how long it lasts after they move the cold away. A zing that disappears within a second or two almost always indicates exposed dentin, which is very manageable. Pain that lingers, throbs, or shows up on its own is the nerve signalling that it is inflamed, and that tooth needs to be seen soon rather than watched. Waiting rarely makes a nerve problem cheaper or simpler to fix."

"The most common mistake I see is rushing the last step. Patients feel fine on day eight, bite into something hard, and set themselves back. The sockets are still filling in under the surface even when the gum looks closed. Give it the full two weeks before you test anything crunchy." Dr. Mitchell Dzaldov, DDS, Bayview Smile Centre

Our clinic follows the ODA (Ontario Dental Association) fee guide, so if the ODA rate for your treatment is higher than the amount CDCP covers, you will be responsible for the CDCP co-payment plus the difference between the CDCP rate and the ODA fee. Our team will confirm your eligibility and walk you through your estimated cost before your appointment.
