Their FAQ
Answers from their website.
How do I know if I need an emergency dentist?
If you have throbbing tooth pain, swelling, bleeding that will not stop, or a tooth that has been knocked out or badly broken, you need to be seen quickly. Pain that spreads to your jaw or head is a clear sign to call us right away at (647) 361 6747.
How do I know if my tooth infection is spreading?
Warning signs include fever, swelling in your face or jaw, a bad taste in your mouth, and pain that keeps getting worse. A spreading infection is serious, so call us the same day if you notice any of these.
What is the best way to manage a severe toothache before my visit?
Rinse with warm salt water, gently floss to remove any trapped food, and use a cold compress on your cheek for swelling. An over the counter pain reliever such as ibuprofen can help. Avoid placing aspirin directly on the gum, as it can burn the tissue. Then call us so we can treat the cause, not just the pain.
Do you accept walk in emergency patients?
Yes. We welcome walk in patients during all our open hours, Tuesday to Saturday. Calling ahead at (647) 361 6747 helps us have everything ready for you.
Do you take CDCP and refugee insurance for emergency visits?
Yes. We accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan and refugee coverage through IFHP, and we bill CDCP directly. We will explain your coverage and give you a clear estimate before any treatment.
Do you treat children in a dental emergency?
Yes. We offer gentle emergency care for kids. You can learn more on our emergency dentist for kids page.
Are you a 24 hour emergency dentist?
We are not open 24 hours, but our extended hours and same day appointments mean most emergencies can be seen quickly. Call (647) 361 6747 and we will get you in as soon as we can.
What should I do if my tooth gets knocked out?
Hold the tooth by the crown, not the root, rinse it gently, and keep it in saliva or milk. Get to us within an hour for the best chance of saving it. See our knocked out tooth page for full steps.
