Their FAQ

Answers from their website.

Do I need a referral to start Invisalign at Dental Works?

No referral needed. Just give us a call or book online and we will get you in for a consultation.

How long does Invisalign treatment take?

It depends on your case. Simple cases can be done in around 6 months. More involved cases typically run between 12 and 18 months. We give you a personalized estimate at your consultation based on your actual scan and treatment plan.

How many appointments will I need?

After your initial consultation and your fitting appointment, you check in with us approximately every 6 to 8 weeks during active treatment. The total number of visits depends on how long your treatment runs.

Will Invisalign hurt?

Most patients feel some mild pressure or tenderness for a day or two after switching to a new aligner set. That is your teeth responding to the movement and it passes quickly. Most people find it very manageable.

What if my teeth are not tracking as expected?

If your teeth are not moving quite as planned, we can add refinement aligners to get things back on course. This is a normal part of the process for many patients and nothing to worry about.

Can I eat and drink normally during treatment?

Yes. You take your aligners out to eat and drink anything other than water. There are no hard food restrictions. One thing to keep in mind: if you have tooth-coloured attachments, certain foods and drinks can temporarily stain them. Rinsing after meals helps keep things looking their best throughout your treatment.

How long do I need to wear my retainer after treatment?

We typically start with full-time retainer wear and then move to nights only. For most patients, that means a removable retainer. Depending on your case, we may also recommend a fixed lingual wire retainer bonded behind your teeth for added stability. Long-term wear — whether removable, fixed, or a combination of both — is what keeps your smile in place. Teeth naturally want to drift over time, and your retainer is what stops that.

What is the difference between Invisalign and at-home aligner brands?

Invisalign is planned, prescribed, and monitored by a licensed dental professional throughout your treatment. Mail-order aligner brands do not include any in-person clinical supervision. If you want your smile care to be guided by someone who has actually looked at your teeth, Invisalign with our team is the right path.
