BDS, MSc, PhD Dr. Michael Ho graduated from the dental program at the University of Hong Kong in 1991 and went on to earn his Master’s and PhD from the same institution. He served as an Honorary Assistant Professor in both the Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Dentistry and taught dental anatomy to dental students for over 15 years. Dr. Ho is a member of the College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia and a Fellow of the Asia Pacific Section of the International Congress of Implantology. He has also been a Board Governor at Our Lady of Maryknoll Hospital since 2012. How often should I visit the dentist?
Most patients benefit from visiting the dentist every six months for routine checkups and cleanings, though your dentist may recommend a different schedule based on your individual oral health needs.
Do you accept insurance? How does pricing work?
Yes. We accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) and most major dental insurance plans, and we bill providers directly. Our fees follow the standard BC Dental Association (BCDA) fee guide with no markup. You can request an upfront estimate before any treatment begins.
I'm nervous about dental visits. Can you help?
Yes! We offer a calm, gentle dental experience and also we offer oral sedation for patients who need additional help feeling comfortable during treatment.
