Counted from their Google reviews up to September 2026. Something shows here once at least 3 patients mention it. Bigger clinics get more reviews, so compare with care. Google’s rating and review total change every day, so we round them down (like 4.5+ stars or 250+ reviews) to stay accurate until our next update. See today’s reviews on Google ↗

Their FAQ

Answers from their website.

What do I need to bring to my first appointment?

Please bring along your current insurance plan details and medical history to your first appointment.

How early should I arrive for my appointment?

Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes ahead of your appointment so you have plenty of time to fill out our new patient form.

How do I get to your practice using public transit?

You can get to Somerset Dental Group by taking Translink and getting off the bus at Stop ID: 55410, WB 72 Ave @ 138 St. Buses 321, 323, 324, 325, 335, 341, 342, 394, and 864 all use that stop, so it just depends on where you're coming from and what day you need to be here. For more information, visit Translink's website.

What hours are you open throughout the week?

In what kind of situation would I need X-rays?

Digital dental X-rays, or radiographs, help our dentists see potential concerns that aren’t visible during a regular exam, such as areas below the gum line or between teeth. They allow us to check for things like emerging teeth, the position of wisdom teeth, early cavities, and changes in bone levels that may occur after tooth loss or with advanced gum disease. X-rays can also help identify abscesses, cysts, or other dental issues that may need attention.

Do you accept dental insurance? How does it work?

Yes we accept dental insurance. If you have a dental insurance plan, we will take care of all the paperwork so you are reimbursed for all benefits to which you are entitled. We can electronically submit paperwork to your insurance company for you. We also send all treatment plans for pre-authorization to find out what your specific plan will cover.

How often should I get my teeth cleaned?

Our preventive care recommendations are personalized based on your oral hygiene routine, current dental health, risk of cavities, and overall habits. Patients with conditions such as gum disease, untreated cavities, frequent new cavities, or exposed roots may benefit from more frequent visits, typically every three to four months. For those with generally healthy teeth and gums, a dental checkup every six months is usually recommended to help maintain long-term oral health.

What if my insurance only covers cleaning every nine months?

Insurance policies vary in coverage. The '9-month rule' pertains to how often you can have a recall exam, polishing, and fluoride treatment. This does not mean that you won't be able to have your teeth cleaned. Cleaning refers to 'scraping', or scaling/root planing. This is the removal of the deposits and stains from your teeth to help prevent your gum tissues from becoming irritated and bleeding.
