Formerly, she completed her Master’s program in Laboratory Medicine and Pathology (MSc) at University of Toronto and her Honors Bachelor of Medical Sciences at Western University. She was awarded the Gold Medal in her Medical Sciences program for her outstanding achievements and have won highly competitive scholarships in health and sciences to fund her Master’s thesis project. Dr. Tran values providing high quality patient-centred dental care. She is highly empathic and actively listens to her patients. She ensures their comfort in the dental chair, and advocates for patient education in oral health. Dr. Wat has over 20 years of extensive experience in all aspects of general and cosmetic dentistry and continues to invest in extensive training to provide her patients with the most current information and treatment options. She has a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Western Ontario (class of 2000) and a Hon.B.Sc. She is a current member of the Ontario Dental Association and the Royal College of Dental Surgeons. Dr. Wat started practicing dentistry in Ottawa. Eventually she chose to establish a family dentistry clinic in Bloor West Village in 2003, after falling in love with the neighbourhood. Her treatment philosophy is to practice dentistry with passion and kindness. When she is not in the office, she enjoys cooking and spending time with her husband and two lovely children.

Dr. Matthew Chan is a graduate of the University of Toronto (Honours BSc, Masters Sc, PhD (Periodontology) and of the University of Western Ontario (DDS). He is a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (FRCD(C)). His focus is on dental implant therapy, bone and soft tissue reconstruction/grafting, cosmetic periodontal surgery, and oral medicine. Dr. Chan loves to help organize and run dental mission trips in underserviced regions in other countries. His past dental mission work included locations in the Amazons, Brazil and Chiapas, Mexico. We are proud to have Dr. Chan as our periodontist here at Bloor West Dentistry!
