Their FAQ

Answers from their website.

What dental services are available at HealthOne Harbourfront?

HealthOne Dental Harbourfront provides examinations, hygiene cleanings, white fillings, crowns, mouthguards, wisdom-tooth removal, emergency care, root-canal treatment and gum treatment. Cosmetic, orthodontic and tooth-replacement services include professional teeth whitening, Invisalign clear aligners, dental implants, bridges and dentures. Treatment recommendations depend on your oral health, clinical assessment and personal goals.

How much does a dental check-up and cleaning cost in downtown Toronto?

The cost depends on the type of examination, whether X-rays are clinically required and how much scaling or hygiene treatment you need. The examination, X-rays, polishing, fluoride and units of scaling may be billed separately. HealthOne does not publish one fixed check-up-and-cleaning price on this page, so ask the clinic for a personalized estimate based on your needs and insurance or CDCP coverage before treatment.

Do you accept dental insurance, offer direct billing and provide payment plans?

Yes. HealthOne Dental Harbourfront offers direct billing with most dental insurance providers and flexible payment options for eligible treatments. Coverage percentages, deductibles, annual maximums, waiting periods and excluded services depend on your plan. Direct billing does not guarantee approval or full payment, and patients remain responsible for any amount their insurer does not cover.

Does HealthOne Dental Harbourfront accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan?

Yes. HealthOne Dental Harbourfront accepts eligible patients with active Canadian Dental Care Plan coverage. The CDCP may help pay for eligible examinations, X-rays, cleanings, fillings, root-canal treatment, dentures and certain oral-surgery services. Coverage is subject to CDCP fees, frequency limits and preauthorization requirements, and a co-payment or additional clinic charge may apply. Provide your CDCP information before treatment and ask for an estimate of your expected portion.

Is dental treatment covered by OHIP in Ontario?

Routine dental care—including examinations, cleanings, fillings, crowns and root-canal treatment—is generally not covered by OHIP. OHIP may cover certain medically necessary dental surgeries when they are performed in an eligible hospital setting. Patients may instead have coverage through private dental insurance, the CDCP or another qualifying government dental programme.

What is considered a dental emergency, and can I get a same-day appointment?

Severe or persistent tooth pain, facial or gum swelling, a suspected dental abscess, uncontrolled oral bleeding, a knocked-out or badly broken tooth, or a lost filling or crown causing significant pain may require urgent dental assessment. HealthOne Dental Harbourfront prioritizes emergencies, and same-day appointments may be available when the schedule permits. Walk-in treatment is not guaranteed, so call 416-613-6233 before arriving. Call 911 or visit a hospital emergency department for difficulty breathing or swallowing, major facial trauma or bleeding that will not stop.

What should I expect at my first dental appointment?

Your first appointment will generally include a review of your dental and medical history, an examination of your teeth and gums and any necessary diagnostic X-rays. The dentist will explain any findings, discuss treatment priorities and provide an estimate when further care is recommended. Bring your identification, insurance or CDCP information, medication list and any recent dental records or X-rays you have available.

Can HealthOne help patients who feel nervous or anxious about dental treatment?

Yes. Tell the HealthOne dental team about your anxiety when booking so they can explain the appointment, discuss your concerns and adapt the visit where clinically appropriate. You can ask questions, request breaks and agree on a signal to pause treatment. Available comfort or anxiety-management options depend on the procedure, your medical history and the treating dentist’s assessment.
