Firouzeh is an excellent dentist! I had extensive work done including 2 implants. I am amazed at the skill and precision with which he performs his procedures while using the most up to date technology. Dr Ali helped me have a nice smile again! I refer him to anyone who needs dental work!

I definitely feel happy that I found this place. I am a person who is terrified of dentists, but definitely my experience with Dr. Layla was fantastic. She and her staff are wonderful, always warm and friendly. 100% recommended.

Their FAQ
Answers from their website.
How much do dental implants cost in East York, Toronto?
At Luma Dental in East York, a single tooth dental implant — including the titanium post, abutment, and custom crown — typically ranges from $3,800 to $6,500 based on current Toronto market pricing. All-on-4 full-arch restorations range from $25,000 to $35,000 per arch. Implant-supported dentures range from $10,000 to $25,000. Every patient receives a written treatment plan with full pricing before any procedure begins. Call (416) 778-8084 to book your free consultation.
How long do dental implants last?
With proper oral hygiene and regular check-ups, the titanium implant post is designed to last a lifetime. The crown attached to the implant may need to be replaced after 15 to 25 years due to normal wear. Dental implants are the longest-lasting tooth replacement option available.
Does getting a dental implant hurt?
The placement procedure is performed under local anaesthesia. Most patients report feeling pressure rather than pain during surgery. Post-operative discomfort is typically mild to moderate for a few days and is managed with over-the-counter pain relievers. Nitrous oxide (laughing gas) sedation is available at Luma Dental for anxious patients.
How long does the dental implant process take from start to finish?
From your first consultation to final crown placement, the process typically takes three to six months. The majority of this time is the osseointegration healing phase. During this period, you are fitted with a temporary crown so you are never without a tooth. Same-day implant options are available for suitable candidates.
Can I get dental implants if I have bone loss in my jaw?
Many patients with bone loss are still excellent candidates for dental implants. Bone grafting can rebuild lost bone before implant placement. The All-on-4 system is specifically designed for patients with reduced bone volume, using angled implants to engage denser regions of the jaw — often eliminating the need for bone grafting entirely.
Are dental implants covered by insurance or OHIP in Ontario?
OHIP does not cover dental implants as they are considered elective procedures. Some private dental insurance plans offer partial coverage for the surgical phase or the crown component. The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) does not typically cover implants, but may cover related procedures such as extractions and bone grafting consultations. Luma Dental offers flexible financing options and will review your benefits at your consultation to maximise any available coverage.
What is the difference between All-on-4 and traditional full dentures?
Traditional full dentures sit on top of the gums and can slip, affect speech and eating, and require adhesives. They do not stimulate the jawbone, leading to progressive bone loss that changes the shape of your face over time. All-on-4 implants are fixed permanently in the jaw using four titanium posts, providing the stability, function, and feel of natural teeth. They prevent bone loss, require no adhesives, and do not need to be removed.
What happens if I do not replace a missing tooth?
When a tooth is lost, the jawbone in that area begins to shrink because it no longer receives stimulation from a tooth root. Over time this leads to bone loss, neighbouring teeth shifting and loosening, bite changes, and facial changes. A dental implant is the only tooth replacement option that prevents this bone loss by mimicking the function of a natural tooth root.
