Their FAQ

Answers from their website.

Do you bill my insurance directly?

Yes. Bring the plan details to your first visit and the desk submits the claim from here; you do not file anything yourself.

Which insurers do you bill?

The list is the front desk’s own. It holds every company and administrator billed here often enough for the desk to name it. That includes Canada Life, Manulife, Desjardins, RBC Insurance, Alberta and Pacific Blue Cross, OTIP, Equitable Life, Empire Life, Claim Secure and Chambers of Commerce Benefits. If yours is not on it, call the desk before you assume it cannot be billed here.

Will I know what I owe before treatment?

Yes, and the estimate covers the treatment being proposed for you rather than a general price list. If your plan will not cover part of it, that part is named.

What if my plan does not cover all of it?

You pay the difference, and you hear that number before you agree to anything.

How much does my plan cover?

Your plan decides that, and the clinic does not set its terms. Plans differ by employer, by treatment category and by year, so no percentage is published anywhere here. Bring the plan details to the desk and the estimate is worked out on your own numbers.

I have status — is that handled differently?

It is a different kind of coverage, and it is no harder to handle. NIHB and Big Stone Benefits are billed directly for eligible patients; bring your status or N number. The NIHB page explains what the clinic handles and what it needs from you.

Do I need to pay first and claim it back?

No. The clinic bills applicable insurance directly and confirms what the plan pays before treatment.

Can I be seen without any insurance?

Yes. With a plan or without one, you hear what the treatment costs before it starts, and nothing begins until you have agreed to the number.
