Dr. Payam Matin, DMD, MSD, DIPL PERIO, FRCD(C), DABP Certified Specialist in Periodontics (CANADA & USA) Dr. Payam Matin grew up in Vancouver and completed his bachelor of science in Cell Biology and Genetics at UBC in 2007. He then moved to Boston where he completed his dental degree with Magna Cum Laude honors in 2011. Following his graduation from dental school, he completed a general practice residency program at OSF Medical Center in Illinois. He then moved back to Vancouver and practiced as a general dentist for a few years before realizing his passion is in surgical procedures. Dr. Matin obtained his certificate in Periodontics and Implant Surgery along with Master of Science in dentistry from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2019 and joined Imperio. He is excited to be back in Vancouver where he is going to provide excellent quality work for patients.

Mohammad Hariri is a dentist at Granville Station Dental. Dr. Mohammad Hariri attended New York University College of Dentistry and received his doctorate in dental surgery. Dr. Hariri served as teaching assistant in both Cariology and Comprehensive Care and Elective in Fixed and Implant simulation courses while at NYUCD. Dr. Hariri continued his dental training and education at Lincoln Hospital in New York with a one-year residency in general practice with emphasis in cosmetic and prosthodontics dentistry. Dr. Sarah Alghamdi graduated from the University of British Columbia as a certified Endodontist, receiving her master’s and science diploma in Endodontics. She is also a fellow member of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada as well as a member and board-eligible Endodontist of the American Board of Endodontics. Before pursuing the specialty program in Canada, she received a diploma in esthetic and restorative dentistry in Marseille, France. In addition, she also received a diploma in restorative and endodontic dentistry in Paris, France. Currently, Dr. Alghamdi is a part-time clinical instructor at the University of British Columbia. She is fluent in Arabic, French, and English. Some of her hobbies include reading, traveling, and perfume-making.

Dr. Cyrus Aliakbari is a dentist at Granville Station Dental. Dr Aliakbari is a dedicated dentist with over 20 years’ experience in the dental field. He is passionate about educating patients on the importance of oral health and is committed to providing the best patient care through communication and service. Dr. Akbari provides dental care to children, adolescents, and adults, as well as those suffering from dental anxiety.
