Dr. Karen was born and raised in Vancouver, BC, and completed her dental education at the University of British Columbia. She has been practicing dentistry for more than 10 years and enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, from simple fillings to Invisalign treatment. As a child, Dr. Karen loved arts and crafts and was drawn to creative, hands-on work. As she grew older, she wanted a career that would allow her to help others and found dentistry to be the perfect combination of both. Dr. Karen takes a conservative, patient-centred approach to care. Dr. Neelkamal Duggal received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Toronto in 2020. Originally from India, she completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery at Panjab University in Chandigarh before moving to Canada. She worked full time as a Certified Dental Assistant for four years in North Vancouver, an experience that strengthened her passion for dentistry. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry, with a special focus on building meaningful relationships with her patients. Her goal is to create positive, comfortable dental experiences for patients of all ages. Outside the clinic, Dr. Duggal leads an active lifestyle through hiking, HIIT workouts, and badminton. She also has a creative side, with a love for crochet, sculpting, and painting. Dr. Duggal speaks English, Hindi, and Punjabi.

Dr. Vinay Dhir was born and raised in beautiful Vancouver. As a dentist, he aims to provide the highest level of personalized care possible to his patients. He also prides himself on being an excellent communicator and a gentle, caring professional. His dental interests are vast, and he stays up-to-date with all modern and current methods in dentistry by attending a number of continuing education courses annually. He looks forward to serving the dental care needs of the Mount Pleasant Community. While dedicated to his practice, when he’s not working, Dr. Dhir likes to spend time with his wife, his two adorable children and his family. He is a huge sports fan and he is always cheering on his beloved hockey team the Canucks.

The team of dentists works closely with their patients to help them achieve the smile they’ve always wanted. Their veteran dentists include Dr. Bhasker Thakore, Dr. Greg Chang and Dr. Joy Maru. They also have some up-and-coming dentists such as Dr. Colin Loewen and Dr. Sarah Garbelya.

Dr. Rose Mary Nguyen grew up in Vancouver and is proud to be back home practicing dentistry after spending several years abroad. She completed her Bachelor of Science at Simon Fraser University before earning her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Sydney in Australia. Before joining Sunrise Village Dental in 2025, she practiced on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia. Dr. Nguyen was drawn to dentistry because it combines science, healthcare, and creativity while allowing her to make a meaningful impact on people’s health and confidence. She has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry and oral surgery and enjoys helping patients achieve healthy, functional smiles. Dr. Savjot Sra Dr. Sra grew up in Winnipeg before moving to Vancouver at the age of seven. She completed both her undergraduate studies and dental education at the University of British Columbia and has been practicing dentistry for almost seven years. Dr. Madhu Verma (Maddie) grew up in Chandigarh, India, and earned her dental degree in 2007 before completing a Master’s in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from Baba Farid University of Health Sciences in 2010. She has been practicing dentistry since 2011 and relocated to Vancouver in 2022 after several years of clinical practice in the Middle East. Dr. Verma has a special interest in minor oral surgical procedures, including wisdom tooth extractions, complex dental extractions, and the management of minor oral pathology. She is certified in Adult Minimal Oral Sedation and Nitrous Oxide Sedation and regularly participates in continuing education programs to stay current with advances in dentistry. Dr. Hridesh Chhabra grew up in India and completed his dental education at Panjab University in Chandigarh. After graduating in 2019, he immigrated to Canada and has been living in Vancouver since 2019. Dr. Chhabra was inspired to pursue dentistry after seeing the lack of basic dental education and oral health awareness among the general population. He is particularly passionate about restorative dentistry, including crowns and bridges, and enjoys helping patients maintain healthy, functional smiles.
