Biography Dr. Yen was born in Taiwan and grew up in Vancouver. Coming from a family full of physicians and dentists, Dr. Yen has developed interests in the medical field since early childhood. Since his father is also a dentist, Dr. Yen literally grew up in a dental clinic, had dental tools as toys and listened to dental jokes and stories at the dinner table. Indeed, Dr. Yen is the fourth generation of dentist in his family, his great grandfather and grandfather were also dentists. After completing his D.M.D from University of Saskatchewan in 2008, Dr. Yen has been working at Mayfair Dental Centre ever since. In 2010, Dr. Yen began his business partnership with Dr. Stankoven and became one of owners of Mayfair Dental Centre. Biography Dr. Lin was born and raised in Victoria, and he grew up chasing the ducks at Beacon Hill Park and biking with his friends on the Galloping Goose. After a memorable experience of having 4 impacted wisdom teeth removed under sedation, he developed a curiosity and passion for Dentistry. After completing his D.M.D. at the University of British Columbia in 2016, Dr. Lin moved back to Vancouver Island where he provided dental care to families in the Comox Valley and was exposed to a variety of different cases, from sedation dentistry, to pediatrics, to root canals, to implants. Dr. Lin enjoys taking dozens of continuing education courses and to this day, continues to spend countless hours every year learning about new methods and technology, and honing his craft.
