He has over 16 years experience in placing implants, performing bone grafts, gum grafts, and extracting wisdom teeth. He has been certified by the Dental College of B.C to perform oral and IV sedation for his patients. This has proven to be a wonderful addition to his practice, especially with the surgical procedures Dr. Malinowski performs.

What is the safest dental sedation?
Nitrous oxide (laughing gas) is considered the safest option because its effects are mild and reverse almost immediately after the mask is removed. For a deeper level of calm, oral sedation is also extremely safe when managed by our trained professionals who monitor your vitals throughout.
Are you completely asleep during sedation dentistry?
No, you remain conscious and able to respond to our team, though you will be in a state of deep, "twilight" relaxation. Most patients feel so at ease that they remember very little of the procedure afterward, making it feel as though they slept through it.
What stage is too late for a gum graft?
A gum graft may be too late if there is severe bone loss or if the teeth have become loose. When the supporting bone is gone, there is no foundation for the new gum tissue to attach to, making the procedure much less likely to succeed.
Can I get a gum graft for free?
In British Columbia, gum grafts are usually not free as they are considered dental procedures rather than basic medical care. However, many private insurance plans cover a portion of the cost if the graft is medically necessary to prevent tooth loss or reduce extreme sensitivity.
