Winnipeg Dentist Dr. Carolyn Robertson Dr. Carolyn Robertson was born and raised in Winnipeg. She graduated from Westwood Collegiate Institute in 2000 where she received the Governor General’s Academic Medal among other awards. Dr. Robertson obtained her Bachelor of Science in 2003 from the University of Manitoba. She was granted a research scholarship from the National Science and Engineering Research Council to work as a summer student in the chemistry department at the U of M. Dr. Robertson completed her formal dental training in 2007, also at the U of M. She received the Alvin Shinoff Award for the development of outstanding treatment plans. Dr. Robertson has been a mentor for the U of M dental students since 2014 and is currently co-chair of the Manitoba Dental Association Mentorship Program. Winnipeg Dentist Dr. Destiny Samberg Dr. Destiny Samberg grew up in Farmington, Minnesota, where her early passion for science was nurtured by her family. Her career path took a meaningful turn at age 16 when she began ortho treatment. Inspired by her Family Dentist’s skill and care, she took the opportunity to shadow him as part of a high school elective program, solidifying her interest in dentistry. Destiny earned her Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Minnesota Duluth, balancing academics with her role on the Bulldogs Women’s Soccer Team. She went on to study at The University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, where her passion for general dentistry was fully realized. Winnipeg Dentist Dr. Ramona Pelland Dr. Ramona Pelland was born and raised in Thompson, Manitoba where she developed a deep appreciation for being an active member within her community. While in high school, she travelled to Winnipeg for a Health Career Quest Camp at the University of Manitoba where she discovered her interest in dentistry. The more she learned about the positive impact dentistry can have in peoples lives, the more Dr. Pelland’s passion for dentistry grew. Recently graduating from the University of Manitoba with her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree this 2025, Dr. Pelland is dedicated to caring for her patients and attending to their dental needs. With a friendly smile on her face, Dr. Pelland aims to build lasting relationships and healthy smiles in her community.
