Graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Zoology in 1997. He went on to receive a Doctor of Medical Dentistry from the University of Manitoba Faculty of Dentistry in 2002 and practices general, cosmetic, pediatric, oral surgery, endodontic, and prosthetic dentistry. Besides creating beautiful smiles at Smiles On Southglen, Dr. Friesen works as a contract dentist for the Federal Government and now divides his time between Smiles On and the northern Manitoba communities he services. He has lived in Winnipeg all his life and enjoys traveling, sports, photography, and film. Dr. Friesen frequently volunteers for Kindness in Action, a charity group that provides dental services for those in need in Central and South America.
